Each limited-edition print is produced on premium 310gsm Canson Photo Rag paper, hand-numbered and embossed with Nanii’s signature. Prints are carefully rolled and shipped in a protective tube to ensure they arrive safely and ready to frame.
One evening, I started experimenting with geometry, colour, patterns and shapes, simply enjoying the process of seeing what happened when they all came together.
Somewhere along the way, Galaxy No. 1 appeared.
I love that I can't quite explain what it is.
Some people see a strange and wonderful universe.
Some see layers of planets, galaxies and microscopic worlds.
And some of my youngest collectors have looked at it and immediately declared:
“It's a monster!”
Honestly, I love that.
There is something wonderful about making an artwork that doesn't come with a single correct interpretation.
What I see when I look at Galaxy No. 1 might be completely different from what you see.
Perhaps that's part of the fun.
Art doesn't always need to explain itself.
Sometimes it can simply make you stop, look for a little while...
and smile.
